About our school

Sunbeam Dance Academy was founded in 2010 by the principal, Cathy Engelbrecht. Cathy is proudly registered with the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London and the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). The school has a 100% pass rate with all RAD and IDTA examinations and operates in various studios and afterschool curriculums throughout Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Here at Sunbeam Dance Academy we aspire to ensure that the love of dance, both amateur and professional lives on in our students long after the classes end. We provide learning the skills of Dance and Musical Theatre in a fun, encouraging and professional manor.

We are proud of the professional success of our students both past and present, with many having gone on to attend professional Dance schools, such as Tring Park, Laine Theatre Arts and English National Ballet Youth Company.
